History of Jubilee Shoals

Jubilee Shoals is one of the most impressive natural reef dive sites in Cyprus, located a few kilometers off the coast of Pissouri. This expansive underwater wall and reef system stretches for hundreds of meters to the east and west, offering a dynamic and dramatic underwater landscape.

At around 16 meters, divers encounter a pinnacle that leads to a vertical drop-off exceeding 50 meters. The highlight of the site is a large underwater cave situated at a depth of 36 meters. The cave entrance is approximately 5 meters wide and 3 meters high, extending about 30 meters in length. Divers exit the cave at around 38 meters, continuing along the magnificent wall teeming with marine life.

This site is known for sightings of amberjacks, tunas, green turtles, and lobsters. For those who take time to observe the reef closely, nudibranchs can also be spotted.

Due to its depth and potential for rough surface conditions, Jubilee Shoals is recommended for experienced divers only and requires at least the Deep Specialty certification.
