Course Overview
The NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver course prepares you to handle dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques.
Through knowledge development and realistic rescue scenarios, you’ll become more confident in your ability to help yourself and others underwater and at the surface.
What You’ll Learn
- Self-rescue and diver stress management
- Recognizing and responding to diver emergencies
- Assisting tired, panicked, and unresponsive divers
- Surfacing, towing, and exiting an unconscious diver
- Performing rescue scenarios from boat and shore
- First aid and oxygen administration for diving accidents
Requirements
- Minimum age: 15 years old
- NAUI Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver certification (or equivalent)
- Current First Aid, CPR, and Oxygen Administration certification (can be taken alongside)
- Good general health (Medical form required)
