Course Overview

The NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver course prepares you to handle dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques.
Through knowledge development and realistic rescue scenarios, you’ll become more confident in your ability to help yourself and others underwater and at the surface.

What You’ll Learn

  • Self-rescue and diver stress management
  • Recognizing and responding to diver emergencies
  • Assisting tired, panicked, and unresponsive divers
  • Surfacing, towing, and exiting an unconscious diver
  • Performing rescue scenarios from boat and shore
  • First aid and oxygen administration for diving accidents

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 15 years old
  • NAUI Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver certification (or equivalent)
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and Oxygen Administration certification (can be taken alongside)
  • Good general health (Medical form required)
